Control: Remedy Entertainment shows strange world in the world trailer
Remedy Entertainment decided to release a new trailer for their upcoming mysterious game - Control. Remedy are the authors of games like Alan Wake and Quantum Break. What do we know about the current project? Apart from the fact that is planned to be released somewhere in 2019. What does the trailer tell us?
The World trailer does not show us any actual gameplay footage but creates a strange, depressing atmosphere. The focus is on The Oldest House and we look back to the year 1964. Apparently, an event of serious proportions has taken place in the vicinity of the New York City Subway system. From the outside, the towering building looks like a skyscraper. On the inside, however, reality breaks apart. Control here draws the fragments of several interlocking dimensions that leap over isolated rooms of the building into "our" reality. Remedy has named these rooms - Thresholds.
Remedy proved that they are capable of creating twisted, dark, bizarre yet very deep and interesting narrative implemented in Alan Wake and looking at Quantum Break we can tell they know how to make unconventional action gameplay work. With that experience and if they stay on track - Control is a promising title in the genre.
Control would not be an action-adventure game if there were not some evil element and there is some evil vibe in these mysterious Thresholds mentioned above. In Control, we ourselves seem to be the cause of our own calamities - now all we have to do is find out why. We will definitely get more details when the work progresses. Remedy Entertainment still has some time as they didn't announced exact release date apart from year 2019.
