Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve – The launch trailer is here, just in time the early launch

Although Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve doesn’t officially launch until October 2nd, those who’ve pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition will be able to take to the skies from September 29th via Advanced Access. Reviews are already hailing this arcade flight game as a must-have for anyone who enjoys the genre.

Currently scoring 86 out of 100 on Metacritic, it’s already clear in the run-up to release who remains the king of the skies: Ace Combat. Anyone opting for the Deluxe Edition of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve won’t have to wait until the official release on October 2nd . Advanced Access kicks off tomorrow, September 29th (or Sept 28th for Americans/Brits at 3pm PT and 11pm BST respectively), giving you a head start of several days. You can download the game files for the early access right now, as we’re already distributing Deluxe Edition keys. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is an arcade-style aerial combat game that sends you into a bitter air war as an ace pilot of the Central Usea Federation. After your homeland has been overrun by the Republic of Sotoa, you take on the role of a fighter pilot known as ‘Wings of Theve’ and fight alongside your squad, Joker Flight, to reclaim your country. Between breakneck dogfights, cinematic cutscenes add depth to the experience, whilst you can pilot over 30 aircraft and take on massive boss enemies such as the “Land Battleship”. The online mode, Ace Combat Online, also introduces co-op and cross-play multiplayer missions to the game.
