Ubisoft unveils the next chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise as we head to Ancient Greece for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, allows new gameplay mechanics such as dialogue options and more. Launches October 5th 2018.
The wait is finally over and we've got our first look at the next entry in the stealth open world action game Assassin's Creed as Assassin's Creed Odyssey was unveiled during Ubisoft's E3 Event today. Odyssey is set in 431 BC, before the events of last year's Assassin's Creed Origins during Peloponessian war in ancient Greece. Players will be able to fight Athens or Sparta in a massive conflict and the franchise goes even deeper with RPG mechanics by offering dialogue options to change the outcome of your story. Pick from Kassandra and Alexios, two Spartans that are ripped from their family by tragedy that embark on a journey to uncover their past.
Like Origins, the game will offer a number of RPG mechanics such as equipping gear, weapons and upgrading your character's abilities. Naval combat will also return and this players will be able to upgrade their ship and recruit sailors to join them on voyages. Most of the characters in the world can be recruited and they will offer buffs to the ship like increased damage or health. Ships will also come with their own unique abilities and can ram into other ships to rip them in half.
Get your first look at a gameplay walkthrough from one of the missions of the game, which shows us a look at Kassandra in action, as well as the new dialogue options in the game!
Assassin's Creed Odyssey arrives on October 5th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
