Beyond These Stars: Release date confirmed for the space-based building game

According to Hooded Horse’s release date trailer, Beyond These Stars launches on October 15th on PC. Then you’ll finally be able to find out what it’s like to build a city in space on the back of a whale.

The follow-up to Before We Leave sends you on an unusual city-building adventure: Instead of on solid ground, in Beyond These Stars you’ll build your settlement on the back of Kewa, a gigantic space whale travelling through the galaxy. That’s what video games are for, isn’t it? Take responsibility for your people, plan production chains centred on resources and agriculture, whilst keeping an eye on the fragile ecosystem of your living platform.

Kewa isn’t just a passive backdrop for your space project, but a character in her own right with needs of her own. If you neglect this relationship, exploring new systems and outposts will become more difficult. At the same time, as the story unfolds, you’ll discover more about the origins of the space whales and forge links with alien species for trade and new technologies.

October 15th is the big day, as that’s when you’ll be able to play Beyond These Stars on PC.
