can you make the download a little more difficult please?
it would be great if there was 5-10 more steps/downloads/signups that we have to do before we can just simply download the game we paid for.

Hey there! Actually the initial set up is a little complex if you start with a fresh BattleNet account, indeed. As the game is hosted through Blizzard's service, there's no way to make this easier at that step.
It's a one time process though. So I hope you'll enjoy the game still.
