Anime Football with Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions for 2020
Publisher Bandai Namco reanimates a piece of manga history with the release of the upcoming football arcade game Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions coming to PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2020.
If you can still remember the manga and anime series Captain Tsubasa, you may be a child of the 1980s. On TV the strikers of Japanese anime dribbled across screens in the mid-1980s under the series name "The Great Football Stars". And also during the 2006 Football World Cup with "Super Kickers 2006 - Captain Tsubasa". But the Japanese strikers based around Tsubasa Ozora are far from being pensioners. BANDAI NAMCO have announced a brand new game title for the agile Manga Footballers with the reveal of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions coming to PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020.
Manga, Anime and Rise of New Champions tell the story of Tsubasa Ozora, an ambitious boy who desires nothing more than to be the Football Champion of the World Cup. BANDAI NAMCO dribbles the ball with a brand new trailer, announcing the implementation of a new arcade football game with Cell-Shading graphics. This trailer gives us the first look at the type of gameplay we'll hopefully see when the full game is launched sometime this year.
Publishers and developers especially emphasize the arcade approach of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions. Thus gamers experience anime Football in real time, with the possibility of being able to use their controller to pull off some great moves at "high speed". Will Tsubasa fulfill his dream and make it as a champion?
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is coming to PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2020. As yet no release date was given, but hopefully fans won't have long to wait!
