Code Vein 2 shows eight minutes of gameplay in new walkthrough trailer

Bandai Namco has released an extensive walkthrough trailer for Code Vein 2 and announced a playable character creator demo for January 23.

With a new video for Code Vein 2, Bandai Namco is putting the action RPG back in the spotlight ahead of its January 30 release. The new walkthrough trailer provides around eight minutes of video footage and shows you detailed gameplay instead of short teaser snippets. In a very short excerpt towards the end of the clip, a playable demo is also announced, including a character editor and the option to transfer your character to the finished game later on. According to the video, you can let loose in the Character Creator and explore the Magmell Institute starting January 23.

In terms of content, Code Vein 2 takes you into a dark future where the last humans and revenants are fighting for survival. A mysterious threat called Luna Rapacis drives many revenants mad and transforms them into monstrous horrors. You take on the role of a revenant hunter accompanied by a girl named Lou. Her special ability allows you to travel into the past and directly influence crucial turning points in history.

The gameplay once again focuses on challenging action RPG combat. You drain blood from enemies to unlock new abilities, combine Blood Codes to create individual builds, and use special weapons and equipment to defeat even boss enemies. You will be supported by partners with their own skills and backstories, who will have a noticeable impact on the combat and story.
