Code Vein 2: The “Mask of Idris” Expansion Is Coming as Early as Early September

According to the announcement teaser, Code Vein 2 is getting its first major DLC, “Mask of Idris”—set to release on September 9. Expect a new story that transcends time and space.

Bandai Namco has announced the first expansion pack for Code Vein 2: “Mask of Idris” is coming surprisingly early—on September 9—and will send you on a completely new adventure that thoroughly upends time, space, and reality. At the heart of Code Vein 2: Mask of Idris lies the so-called “Forgotten World”—a place formed from the emotional remnants of long-vanished realities that were wiped out by temporal distortions.

On your journey through the new content, you’ll encounter Liv Voda—a Guardian of Time and Space who possesses a formidable fighting spirit.

Requirements for Starting “Mask of Idris”

Before you dive into the new adventure, you’ll need to complete two things in the main game: reach the “Luna Fraterna” ending and finish the side mission “Valentin’s Request.” Only then will access to the new campaign unlock.

The DLC is already included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Code Vein 2, but can also be purchased separately later with the Deluxe Upgrade Pack. Alongside the DLC’s release, Bandai Namco will roll out Update 2.0 for Code Vein 2—free for everyone—featuring additional endgame content centered on exploring the game world alongside your sidekicks after completing the main story.
