Crazy Taxi: World Tour – SEGA unveils a Japan trailer at TGS2026
At the Tokyo Game Show 2026, SEGA showcased new footage from the upcoming Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The ‘Welcome to Japan’ trailer showcases parts of the Japan map that you’ll explore on your world tour as Axel – a mix of historic neighbourhoods and the hustle and bustle of a modern metropolis.
This adds Japan to the list of colourful locations featured in the cult series’ action-racing comeback. Take on the role of Axel, who is chasing masked crooks across the globe who have stolen his taxi. In terms of gameplay, Crazy Taxi remains true to form: wild drifts, breakneck jumps and a race against the clock as you get passengers to their destinations as quickly – and as chaotically – as possible.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is due for release in 2027 on PC and, alongside the story-driven world tour, will feature a multiplayer mode as well as a classic arcade mode where you can experience the original feel of the series. So look forward not only to Tokyo, but to several international locations, each with its own unique charm.
