Cronos: The New Dawn gets new difficulty mode “Temporal Diver”

Bloober Team's Cronos: The New Dawn will be expanded with a new difficulty level in early 2026. “Temporal Diver” is aimed at those who want to experience the story in a more relaxed way.

Bloober Team is adding an additional difficulty mode to Cronos: The New Dawn (currently 37% off in our XMAS Sale). Starting in early 2026, “Temporal Diver” will be available on all platforms, offering a new option that makes it easier to get started and puts more focus on atmosphere and storyline.

The new mode in Cronos: The New Dawn significantly lowers the difficulty level: you have more health and enemies are less aggressive. This makes “Temporal Diver” ideal for players who want to experience the dark time travel setting without constantly biting the dust. For many, this is also a good opportunity to try Cronos for the first time or give it another go.

Existing difficulty levels remain unchanged. The standard difficulty level continues to be “Anvil of the Collective.” Those looking for a greater challenge after their first playthrough can unlock “Forged in Fire” in Cronos—currently the game's highest difficulty level.

Parallel to the new mode, the music is also coming into sharper focus. The official soundtrack of Cronos: The New Dawn is being released separately on Steam for the first time, but is also included as a digital soundtrack in the Deluxe Edition. Accompanying this, a new ambient video has been released that combines the music with tranquil images.
