Death Stranding Isolations: Kojima Productions unveils teaser for the anime series

‘My mum became a crater.’ Kojima Productions has released a 45-second teaser for Death Stranding Isolations. The anime series will launch in 2027 exclusively on Disney+ and other Disney services.

Kojima Productions will soon be providing more content for all fans of the parcel-delivery apocalypse. The short teaser offers a first look at scenes from Death Stranding Isolations, an anime series set to launch on Disney+ in 2027. Hideo Kojima is serving as executive producer, whilst Takayuki Sano, who previously worked on Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen. The script is by Tow Ubukata (Psycho-Pass), whilst Ilya Kuvshinov is responsible for character design. The series is being hand-drawn at Studio E&H Production, whose credits include Ninja Kamui, amongst others.

What is the Death Stranding series about?

The story begins in North America, shortly after Sam has reconnected the continent via the Chiral Network in the game Death Stranding. However, these new connections also bring new problems. Set outside Sam’s timeline, Death Stranding: Isolations centres on a young girl who, following the loss of her mother, lives in isolation and eventually comes to find solitude quite comfortable. Fate, however, has other plans and throws the girl into a world she does not know. Joining the girl are a wise old man, a soldier caught in the cycle of war, and an angry boy. So you can look forward to seeing whether this series weaves its threads together as skilfully as Sam does his delivery routes.
