25 Minutes of Destiny 2 PVP Gameplay, plus an Early Look at The Farm Social Hub

The Destiny 2 Closed Beta on PS4 gives us a taste for the full game, take a look at 25 minutes of gameplay footage from the upcoming MMO Shooter as look at PVP and also The Farm Social Hub.

With the Destiny 2 Closed Beta coming to a close on console it's been a wild ride that has given players their first glimpse into the world of Destiny 2, and while it does still leave some with questions (that we'll hopefully get more answers to soon) it was a nice taste of what to expect when the full game launches. Recently we took a look at the opening mission for Destiny 2, and now we're looking at the PVP side of things. Plus a sneak peak at the new Social Hub "The Farm".

During our time with the Beta we managed to get a look at some of the PVP which will be included in the final release. Below you will get a look at footage from the Control Map "Endless Vale" in which two teams fight over control points. Each team will be trying to secure 3 points, the longer they hold the points, the more points they can gain. While almost impossible to keep 3 at one time, with teamwork you may be able to hold at least 2 as you compete in this 4v4 mode.

Also scattered throughout the map is "Power Ammo" which will give access to the power weapon that each class has in their loadout - for the Titan Sentinel I was playing I had access to a Shotgun, which did incredible damage up close. Endless Vale tends to be a very close quarters map, so encounters feel tense and you never know what's lurking around next corner. Teamwork is important as going off on your own may result in being overcome by the enemy team so it's best to stick together and use your class abilities to help your squad.

We were also lucky enough to be able to get a hands on look at the Social Hub known as "The Farm", which replaces the previous hub in Destiny "The Tower". Expect to be able to gather their and tackle missions, find NPC Vendors selling wares and kickback with a game of football. Even though we only got a small taste of the hub on the Beta (NPC's were on vacation during this time) it did give a sense of how this area may be a central hub for all activates going on, when not on a mission at least.

The Destiny 2 PC Beta is launching in August, with the full game on PC coming October 24th. You can pre-order to get Early Access to the Beta when it starts up.
