Destiny 2 - Bungie optimises the clan system
In Destiny 2 you will easily be able to migrate your Destiny clans over to the sequel. Developer Bungie has now revealed details on the clan system for MMO Action Shooter game.
Group play in Destiny 2 will be just as important as with the previous title, and Bungie is going to improve the experience to allow everyone to have an enjoyable time regardless of their playstyle. Whether you're the type of player who loves tackling Raid Bosses or you just want to eliminate another Crucible team, the game will support various activities for both Solo and Clan play! With Destiny, you were part of a community and the upcoming MMO Shooter sequel will continue that trend by allowing new features and offering rewards for existing players, while also giving newcomers a chance to manage their own clan.
In a blog post by Bungie, they go into further detail about the transition and what it means for existing clans.
As a basis for each clan in Destiny, there is a discussion group on Bungie.net, where players can exchange thoughts and ideas for the upcoming MMO Shooter. Destiny 2 will also allow clans to migrate from the original game, offering Clan Leaders a chance to bring their existing group to the sequel. This is what the Bungie blog says:
Starting on July 25, 2017, Clan leaders should visit their base of operations on Bungie.net and decide if they want to convert their Group to a Destiny 2 Clan. Clan Founders will be able to transfer their title and permissions to another member who will be a more faithful leader for future adventures. If you have bigger plans for the existing Group that hosts your Clan, you can leave it as is and explore your own community purpose outside of the game. This housekeeping period will last for one month. After that time, new Clan creation functionality will go live on Bungie.net to support Destiny 2.
To make sure things aren't too overcrowded, clans will be limited to 100 members in total. This should help keep things social and create a "family" environment within the game. If you play the game on multiple platforms, then you will be pleased to know that each Destiny 2 account is able to join one clan per platform.

New possibilities for Destiny clans
Clans for Destiny 2 will be able to enjoy brand new features, as Bungie continues to expand the social element. They will be the pillar of the community as they help guide players take on endgame missions. You can manage your Roster and send invites to members from anywhere you play, and working as a team will allow Guardians to earn rewards.
Rewards will not come easy though and will require a sacrifice if you want to enjoy the spoils of war. Should your Clan want to they can team up with others and form Alliances which Bungie hopes will "break that connective tissue". As the game is still under development, Bungie will welcome input from the fans and clan leaders to share their ideas to shape clans in Destiny 2. They do however hope to improve the player experience for everyone in Destiny 2, not just the larger communities. Bungie will share more details on the revised clan system after the maintenance window on July 25th.
