Reveal Trailer: Destiny 2 - The Witch Queen announced for 22nd of February 2022
Bungie has presented the next big Year 5 expansion for the MMO shooter Destiny 2. The Witch Queen is no longer planned for release in 2021, but on 22nd February 2022, seems good add-ons are literally a witchcraft and take time. Due to the circumstances surrounding the Corona pandemic, the release has been postponed from autumn 2021 to February next year.
What is Destiny 2: The Witch Queen about? Bungie introduces a "new" main antagonist with the 4th mega-expansion, the Witch Queen Savathûn, sister of Oryx and Xivu Arath. The old, bony witch reaches for the light in a warlike manner, arming her armies, which become a real threat to the guardians. They have already set their sights on a new target: Savathûn's throne world.
Worm gods have granted immortality to Savathûn, whose real name was Sathona, if only the flock would remain true to their nature and follow a more or less chaotic path through the universe. The worms' hunger is boundless. Sathona, now travelling under the name Savathûn, breaks old alliances and installs herself as Osiris, with the purpose of casting off her worm. In the process, guardians are to come to her aid who want nothing less than the original Osiris back. Will this go well?
