Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - Cell Saga Trailer and Screenshots Reveal
Powerup and experience a new type of Dragon Ball Z experience with the highly anticipated RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which is out Early next year. The game will see you playing as Goku, from the beginning of Dragon Ball Z as he continues to become more powerful in his quest to defeat foes. Today from Gamescom we got our first look at the Cell Saga, including gameplay footage from Goku's young son Gohan as he took on the mighty Cell. You'll also be able to play as Gohan too, though it's unclear how much he'll be a playable character. Other playable characters include Vegeta and Piccolo. Players will be able to fight in a 3D open world as they take on quests and fight various foes (similar to how the Xenoverse games work).
So far the Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga and Cell Saga have been confirmed for the game. Though it's very likely it'll also include the Buu Saga too, which would be the complete Dragon Ball Z story from start to end. We'll probably have to wait a little more to get details on the end though. Could we see Dragon Ball GT or Dragon Ball Super featured? Unlikely, but who knows what will be added to the game after launch!
Speaking of Piccolo, one of the best moments in the Cell Saga was Goku and Piccolo getting their drivers license, and this will be included in the game! Get your first look at the action (and the driving test) with a few brand new screenshots below!
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in Early 2020.
