Dune Awakening Chapter 3: “Raiders of the Broken Lands” expands Arrakis with new smuggler content
With the new DLC “Raiders of the Broken Lands,” Dune: Awakening brings fresh content to Arrakis. A launch trailer sets the mood for the expansion, while a free update also kicks off Chapter 3 of the game.
Arrakis is getting new supplies for everyone looking to give their hideout and equipment a fresh look: Funcom has released the DLC Raiders of the Broken Lands for Dune: Awakening. To go along with it, the publisher and developer have shared a launch trailer showcasing the new DLC content in action.
The DLC focuses on cosmetic additions, primarily addressing community requests for more building options. At its core are 74 new smuggler building pieces, allowing you to construct bases that are both functional and comfortable. The set is further complemented by 17 matching decorations that add more personality to your hideouts on Arrakis.

Your equipment can also be visually upgraded: the DLC includes new variants for light and heavy smuggler armor, an alternative stillsuit version, as well as customized designs for weapons such as the Karpov rifle and the Kindjal dagger. In addition, you can travel in style with a special Raider buggy skin. Two new emotes — Scanning Horizon and Examining Ground — along with a dedicated smuggler color swatch round out the package. All content is purely cosmetic and provides no gameplay advantages.
Free Chapter 3 update significantly improves Dune: Awakening
Alongside the paid DLC, the free Chapter 3 update has launched at the same time, marking a major step forward in the development of Dune: Awakening. The story continues, including battles in the Neo-Carthag duel arena and new insights into your character’s origins. Endgame progression, factions, and the Landsraad have been extensively reworked, featuring new missions, ranks, and rewards. On top of that, the update introduces new weapons, additional challenge and testing areas, an expanded specialization and augment system, as well as numerous quality-of-life and balance improvements — ranging from vehicle features to dedicated chat channels for Atreides and Harkonnen.
