Release trailer for the Elden Ring film: fan project becomes reality on 22 February
In just a few days, an ambitious fan film will hit your screens. Becoming Blade of Miquella takes place in the Elden Ring universe, telling a story centered around Malenia and Miquella.
Are there bad fan film projects? If so, let us know in the comments! But let’s be real: Every fan-made production is a tribute to their favorite games, showcasing immense dedication and effort. Sure, some fan films feature amateur acting, and the special effects may not match Hollywood standards, but the passion behind them is undeniable. The same goes for the recent fan film adaptation of Another World, which may look a bit trashy, but is bound to bring tears of joy to Amiga-era fans.
As an Elden Ring fan film, Becoming Blade of Miquella leans far from trashy, thanks to well-crafted cosplays and committed actors. It certainly helps that Bandai Namco provided some Elden Ring collector’s edition props, like Malenia’s helmet. However, it’s important to note that neither Bandai Namco nor FromSoftware are officially involved in this project. The film will have a 25-minute runtime and, according to the release trailer, will premiere for free on February 22, 2025, at 7 PM CET. The story is set just before the battle against Radahn.
