No endless Early Access for Endless Legend 2: The 1.0 release is here
Endless Legend 2 is officially complete: Early Access has ended, and three new factions are taking centre stage. To mark the 1.0 release, the 4X strategy game is available at 50% off on Gamesplanet.
The beta phase is over: Endless Legend 2 from Amplitude Studios is officially launching with the update to version 1.0. This turn-based 4X strategy game sends you, as the leader of a faction, to the aquatic world of Saiadha, where you’ll found cities, manage the economy and diplomacy, and vie for supremacy in tactical battles. Between turns, the map changes noticeably due to so-called ‘tidefalls’ – land emerges as water recedes through tidefalls, and with each new tidal phase, new resources and dangers await.
Three new factions at launch
With version 1.0, the number of playable factions increases: the Sandshapers focus on expansion and terraforming, transforming conquered territories into deserts and thereby strengthening their economy. In addition, two so-called ‘rogue factions’ are introduced – the Order of Zelevas and the Severed Claws – which are splinter groups of existing main factions with their own playstyles but the same core mechanics. As a fourth new feature, Amplitude is introducing the Mangrove of Harmony: a secondary faction that emerged from a ten-month community contest in which players contributed to both the gameplay and the art design. In addition, numerous bugs have been fixed and balancing adjustments have been made to diplomacy, the economy and the AI.
To mark the 1.0 release, Endless Legend 2 is currently available (but only for a limited time) with a 50% discount on Gamesplanet.
