Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness DLC launching June 5th

Say Goodbye to Hope Country, and Hello to Vietnam as the first DLC pack "Hourse of Darkness" for Far Cry 5 launches next month on June 5th. Hours of Darkness will give players control of Hope County's Wendell “Red” Redler in an important mission to rescue his imprisoned squad and make it to the extraction point in time. The DLC will also add in brand new weapons based on the Vietnam period such as the M16, SVD sniper rifle, and M60 machine gun. Best of all you'll be able to take these weapons back to the main game for use in Hope County!

Players will be able to call in airstrikes to deal with tough situations, or use the all new Survival Instinct Feature which gives players up to 4 temporary perks by racking up stealth kills. By completing the DLC you will also get 2 new modes: Survivor Mode and Action Movie Mode. Survivor mode gives players a tougher challenge as it strips back your weapons and ramps up the difficulty to offer an "authentic experience", meanwhile Action Movie Mode will give you extra weapon slots for carrying more guns and allow an enhanced airstrike ability. For those who do not own the DLC you can enjoy Vietnam Assets available from today, which will give players a chance to create some custom content while they wait for the DLC.

Ubisoft has also given us a sneak peak at the soundtrack for the upcoming Hours of Darkness DLC ahead of release! The soundtrack mixes traditional Vietnamese instruments with hypnotic 60’s psychedelic soundscapes. It was composed by Wade MacNeil and Andrew Gordon Macpherson, as well as Kim Uyen Le who helped bring the soundtrack to life.

Get ready for your trip to Vietnam DLC Hours of Darkness by getting the Season Pass, or if you don't already own the game you can pick up the Gold Edition which will also include the Season Pass. If you'd rather wait you can pick up the DLC separately when it launches on June 5th. Owners of the Season Pass can also look forward to getting a free copy of Far Cry 3 on May 29th, as well as 2 more DLC packs dropping in July and August.
