Steam or GIANTS key: What's the difference? How do I know which key I have?

Steam or GIANTS key: What's the difference?

The short version: There is none. At least no differences in the game content. The pre-order bonus is the same. Steam Keys for the Farming Simulator 19 will activate on the Steam client, which you can download from the Official Site. Later the game will be downloadable via Steam and if a preload happens you'll be able to start downloading prior to release.

By purchasing a GIANTS key for Farming Simulator 19 you'll bypass the Steam client and can download directly from Gamesplanet or from the developer. We'll explain how to download the game nearer release (when data is available).

We recommend getting the Steam version as it will provide easier updates. Although the Steam and GIANTS versions of the Farming Simulator 19 are identical in content, you'll enjoy some other benefits on Steam. For example, the communication with friends and on Steam you have all activated games nicely arranged in a library.

How do I know if I have purchased a Steam or GIANTS version?

You can easily spot which version you by the type of key at the checkout. For the Steam version you'll see a Steam key, but for the Giants Software keys you'll see it listed as (Giants). Here is the shopping cart to see the difference:

Also in your Gamesplanet Library you can see the type of key you have, with (Giants) being included in the title for Giants keys. If you click the entry in your library you can see how to redeem the key, and also the type of key you have. Keys will be delivered by the publisher as soon as we've been given approval and you'll be able to preload in time (should one appear) to be ready to go at launch.

Do you also have the Collector's Edition from Farming Simulator 19?

Sadly not, Gamesplanet only supplies digital PC copies of the game and the Collector's Edition is a physical product only.
