GTA 5 NaturalVision Remastered mod launches and looks fantastic
Mods take the already gorgeous Grand Theft Auto 5 and push it even further with the NaturalVision Remastered Mod, giving players a whole new experience in visual quality.
It's only been out for two years on PC, but the open world action of Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to surprise players as modders continue to push the boundaries of what the engine is capable of. We've already had mods like GTA V Redux proving that there's plenty of life left in the old girl, and now the NaturalVision Remastered is pushing things even further by offering another alternative look at Los Santos.
Created by modder Razed, this new visual mod for GTA 5 does not use any version of the popular ReShade tool (which is used in a number of games to tweak the look of a game). He spent over 1,200 hours bringing this to life over the course of 6 months - researching and bringing as much detail as he could to Los Santos.
The goal was to try and make GTAV look visually similar to Southern California in real life. The author has viewed more than 40 hours of video footage, hundreds of photos and researched a variety of neighboring districts within the Los Angeles and Salton Sea areas. All of this was necessary in order to produce the most realistic visual experience currently possible with GTAV's game engine.
Take a look at the game's stunning trailer below, if you are able to watch it in 4k we suggest doing that as it will look even more spectacular!
Should that not be enough we've also put together a small gallery to showcase the game in various settings, including a look at night time and underwater!
