GreedFall: The Dying World is now “complete.” After around a year and a half in early access, the tactical action RPG from Spiders and Nacon has now received its 1.0 launch update.
After a good 18 months in Early Access, the time has finally come: GreedFall: The Dying World is now available for download in its complete version – including all quests, romances, and the final chapter of the story. A celebratory occasion for every role-player, and we're here to mark the occasion with a 35% introductory discount.
Back to Gacane, but this time the other way around
Those familiar with the first GreedFall will remember that you landed on the island of Teer Fradee as a settler. The Dying World turns the tables. This time, you take on the role of a Doneigad – a sage from the Teer Fradee people – who is abducted by strangers from the Old Continent. Now you are the ones who must survive in a strange world plagued by war and a mysterious plague. The prequel takes place three years before the events of the original, filling a gap that is sure to interest many fans.
Fighting is one option, but it's by no means the only one. GreedFall: The Dying World features a real-time combat system with tactical pauses, heavily inspired by Dragon Age: Origins. You can directly control your team, exploit your enemies' weaknesses, and choose between three combat modes: Tactical, Hybrid, or Action. Those who prefer to talk rather than fight can rely on diplomacy, disguises, or stealth. In addition, there are eight companions with their own backstories and your own character, whose appearance, abilities, and equipment you can customize.
Another note for those who want to jump right in: The “Black Mass” DLC is scheduled to be released in May and includes an exclusive quest, among other things.
