Hell Let Loose: Vietnam: Team17 releases launch trailer
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches today, 13 August 2026. The launch trailer shows what you can expect from this jungle shooter.
At last, another proper Vietnam-set game. Some of us still have the music from Battlefield: Vietnam ringing in our ears – what a shooter extravaganza that was! But instead of EA, it’s now Team17 bringing us a Vietnam-themed game. In terms of genre, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam sits somewhere between a tactical shooter and a multiplayer war simulation. You’ll fight in massive 50-versus-50 battles on sprawling jungle maps modelled on real-life locations from the Vietnam War. As part of a unit, you’ll pilot helicopters, command patrol boats or fight your way through the dense undergrowth as an infantryman – teamwork determines victory or defeat.
What Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has to offer
At the launch of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, six expansive maps await you, recreating real-life locations from the conflict. Choose between the Vietnam People’s Army and the US forces, and take on one of 17 combat roles across six different units – ranging from infantry and tank crews to helicopter pilots on the US side. Several game modes, such as Offensive and Warfare, provide tactical variety, whilst dynamic in-game events force squads to make spontaneous strategic changes. The People’s Army can also dig tunnel systems to surprise the enemy, whilst expanded movement options provide greater tactical freedom in combat.
