What is Horizon Forbidden West - Complete Edition?
Originally released back in 2022 for PS4 and PS5, Horizon Forbidden West takes place 6 months after the events of Horizon Zero Dawn. This time Aloy finds herself heading west to lush new lands as she tackles new threats that are lurking.
For those who have previously played Horizon Zero Dawn, you can expect much of the same combat with snappy controls to take on even the deadliest foes and a bit more refinement. In the previous game Melee was simply not ideal, but in Forbidden West you're given the option to use it more in combat with a dedicated skill tree for it. Speaking of skill trees, you have six unique trees to pick from depending on your playstyle: Hunter, Infiltrator, Machine Master, Survivor, Trapper, and Warrior. Hunter focuses on ranged weapons, while Infiltrator is aimed towards a more stealthy approach. Mix and match skills from trees to unlock powerful valor abilities that can be used in combat to change up attacks.
Of course when it comes to the world there's plenty to see and do, with a greater range of side activities and places to explore (both above and below the water) compared to the first game. Scale tallnecks, dive into ruined parts California, Utah and more. Engage in fight pits, participate in Arenas and bring down rebel camps. In the Burning Shores Expansion, which takes place after the game, you head to a ruined Los Angeles and explore a brand new tropical region, which is filled with new threats and new faces to meet.
What does the Complete Edition of Horizon Forbidden West contain? Aside from a number of PC improvements, the complete edition also includes extra outfits, weapons, photo mode unlocks, in-game resources, Digital Artbook, Digital Comic Book, Digital OST and the Burning Shores Expansion.
