Lost Soul Aside – 10 years in development, now gold status: trailer introduces weapons
It’s been quiet for a while around the PlayStation project Lost Soul Aside. After 10 years in the developers’ forge, the action RPG has now reached gold status. A new trailer showcases the weapon systems.
Lost Soul Aside is designed to be easy to learn but difficult to master. Those who want to make an impact in Sony’s action-adventure RPG, fighting against strange invaders from another dimension, will need to master various combat styles — and likely study enemy attack patterns in detail.
This action-packed game with its atmospheric effects offers plenty of freedom in choosing combat styles. Players can combine ground and aerial attacks, dodge quickly, parry, and finish off enemies with spectacular finishers. Attack styles can be switched and combined at any time. It’s not just the challenging, fast, and fluid gameplay that aims to make Lost Soul Aside a treat for action fans: its cinematic design pulls out all the stops in showcasing the many varied futuristic environments.
The trailer introduces the following weapons: sword, greatsword (Final Fantasy fans will nod knowingly), the poleblade (double-blade), and a scythe. At the end of the clip, you can see how quickly weapons can be swapped mid-combat — even during an aerial attack.
