Mafia III - Bringing a City to Life
Mafia III takes place in New Bordeaux, a city based off New Orleans recreated with detail and has it's own spin on the area (much like GTA does). It's made up of 9 unique districts with each one having a different feel to it such as the poor slum areas where Lincoln grew up to the jazz town bar streets.
As with many open world games you're free to explore the city as much as you want without limitations, want to go to a bar or visit the swamp area in the south? You can do just that - at any time.
