The first character guide for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls marks the start of a new video series. It shows you how to play Captain America effectively using shield counters, aerial attacks, and the Ricochet Volley.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 2.5D fighting game from Arc System Works where you compete in 4v4 tag-team battles featuring iconic Marvel heroes and villains. This anime-style fighting game is set to release on August 6, 2026, for PC.

To coincide with the upcoming release, the development team is launching a new video series called “Character Guides,” which will introduce you to each fighter’s move set in detail. Kicking things off is Marvel icon Steve Rogers himself: The video on Captain America explains his aerial attacks, anti-air options, Vibranium Shield counters, and the Ricochet Volley—that is, the shield throw that bounces off walls. But Captain America isn’t just a brute-force fighter. If you want to master him, you’ll need to have a solid grasp of the shield mechanics, whether using it to counter physical attacks or as a projectile option. The guide is aimed at both beginners and players who want to further refine their timing and combos.
