Monster Hunter Wilds: Dates for 2nd beta test and news about the release

The new year is off to an exciting start for all Monster Hunter fans. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto welcomes the community, announces dates for the 2nd open beta test with Monster Hunter Wilds and has a development update for you. All info here.

Second public beta test: Hunt monsters again before release, collect bonuses

Following the success of the first public beta test, Monster Hunter Wilds is returning in February with two new beta dates - just in time for the release on February 28th 2025. Producer Tsujimoto provides information about this in a video address and also explains the contents of the 2nd open beta phase. Two dates for phase 2 are on the schedule.

All dates for the 2nd open beta phase of Monster Hunter Wilds
1st date: February 7th (3am GMT / 4am CET) to 10 February (same time).
2nd date: February 14th (3am GMT / 4amm CET) to 17 February (same time).

Of course, Capcom is taking the community's feedback from the 1st beta phase into account. The following content is planned for the 2nd beta test: After analysing the community feedback, Capcom has evaluated everything and is now working on further improving the gaming experience. However, it should be noted that these improvements will not yet be fully integrated into the upcoming beta test build.

Highlights of the second beta test:

• Test advanced hunting mechanics.
• Discover a new monster, the Gypceros, and experience new exciting challenges with the beast.
• Give feedback to the team to further refine the full version and indirectly contribute to its development.

Permanent bonuses and the scores from beta phase 1

All participants in the second beta phase can bag special bonuses that you can later transfer to the full version. These include a decorative weapon, pendant and an item pack.

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto also points out that players of the first beta phase can transfer the data from the character creation at that time to the second round. This character data will also be transferred to the full version later if required.
