Marvel's Avengers War Table shows off MODOK, Co-op, Warzones and more!
Avengers prepare to assemble later this year when Marvel's Avengers launches on September 4th. Developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix are giving players a taste of what to expect with "War Table" videos to show off various elements in this large super hero title.
In today's video, the most important revelation is the choice of the super villain. It's not easy to find a candidate capable of matching the avengers, so developer Crystal Dynamics has chosen genius MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) who'll go on the offensive, backed by the criminal organization AIM.
Concerning the solo campaign, we are presented with a mission in which Kamala Khan must find the Avengers to warn them of the danger posed by AIM. The team of heroes has been disbanded, but in the new gameplay reveal we get a look at god of thunder Thor, who is taking up his mighty hammer again. Other character missions will be present to develop the story and familiarize players with each characters' particular gameplay.
Continuing on the gameplay, it will be possible to customize the heroes by unlocking skills and also various gear giving modifiers to talents to vary the style of play and the possibilities of combos. This also translates into changes in the way of playing cooperatively, which can be seen in action here. Indeed, each hero has support skills to interact with his allies as well as powerful ultimate attacks to unleash large amounts of damage.
Marvel's Avengers will be released on September 4th 2020 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
