Makers of the Silent Hill 2 remake announce Cronos: The New Dawn as a sci-fi horror mix
So the developers at Bloober Team know horror. After all, the Polish studio has already delivered several acclaimed gaming gems, including such highlights as the new Silent Hill 2 Remake, Layers of Fear and the often underrated Observer: System Redux.
The next horror game from Bloober, Cronos: The New Dawn, which was announced last week with a cinematic and very enigmatic trailer, will follow in 2025. The third-person survival horror game takes you to a post-apocalyptic scenario in the 80s. Whether it stays in the 80s is questionable, as Bloober also mentions a ‘twisted story with time travel’ in the description of the cinematic trailer. Cronos depicts a less than desirable dystopia in which Eastern European brutalism meets retrofuturistic technology. We are excited to see how Cronos will combine time travel with survival horror - and we are also optimistic. Currently they're targeting a release in 2025, but there is no concrete date yet.
