Retro action with Ninja Five-O, the cult game from Konami, which returns on February 25
Konami was responsible for the iconic action platformer Ninja Five-O, which was originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. OG Konami is now also responsible for the new edition (known as Ninja Cop in Europe), which will be available from February 25th.
In Ninja Five-O, you step into the ninja shoes of Joe Osugi, a ninja detective whose job it is to enforce law and order using your (hopefully) impressive ninjutsu skills. Protect the city of Zipangu by taking out terrorists controlled by mystical “Mad Mask” bosses. Free a few hostages along the way - that's good for your karma and points account.
The gameplay combines platform and action elements and is reminiscent of the classics of the 80s and 90s with its retro style. Fast-paced battles are omnipresent, various ninjutsu techniques and challenges against the clock put your skills to the test. There are also more modern functions such as the option to save at any time. You can also rewind the course of the game so that you can tackle a complicated passage again without having to repeat the entire level.
