Red Dead Redemption 2 in development for 8 years - new screenshots
Rockstar Games has been working on their open world action sequel Red Dead Redemption 2 for 8 years, wants to create the best sequel that they can. New screenshots also shown.
Later this year we'll finally have a chance to play Rockstar's open world action sequel Red Dead Redemption 2 when it launches on PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th. In a brand new interview it's been revealed that the studio has been focused on bringing the world to life over the past 8 years, and later this year it'll launch worldwide. Rob Nelson, Rockstar North's Co-Studio Head explained the direction they wanted to take the series with the sequel.
I think when we finished Red Dead Redemption 1 we decided what story we wanted to tell for the sequel. I think that sort of informed where we wanted to go and set ourselves the challenges ahead. We always like to move to new hardware when we can go from the ground-up, because it let’s us push the core ideas we’re always chasing and playing with, and trying to realise much further. Every time. Every generation. We get to push those ideas further.
In the meantime Rockstar have presented us with some new screenshots of the gorgeous Red Dead Redemption 2 as we wait patiently to see some gameplay footage emerge. Take a look at the gallery below to keep you drooling while you wait!
