Resident Evil Requiem - Everything you need to know!
Everything You Need to Know About the Release of Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem takes you back to Raccoon City and combines classic horror elements with two playable protagonists. We summarize everything you need to know about the ninth entry in the iconic series, show you the best trailers, and help you make your purchase decision.
What is Resident Evil Requiem?
With Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom opens a new chapter in its long-running horror franchise. This time, you experience the story from two perspectives: you follow FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and series veteran Leon S. Kennedy through a narrative that reopens old wounds — sometimes quite literally.
The story of Resident Evil Requiem begins with a series of unexplained deaths in the American Midwest. A body discovered in an abandoned hotel brings Grace back to the place where her mother died eight years earlier. Shortly afterward, Resident Evil icon Leon S. Kennedy is assigned to the case after a police officer disappears at the same location. Your investigation leads you not only through the hotel but also into other dangerous areas — including a zombie-overrun care facility and the ruined remains of Raccoon City.

Gameplay focuses on proven survival-horror mechanics: combat, exploration, puzzles, and strict resource management shape your experience. Ammunition remains scarce, and every room can become a trap. A new feature is the free choice between first-person and third-person perspectives, allowing you to experience the horror however you prefer. The two protagonists also play differently: Grace approaches situations cautiously and tactically, while Leon more often confronts threats head-on with heavy firepower, adding greater gameplay variety.
Narratively, Resident Evil Requiem connects current events with the catastrophic Raccoon City incident of 1998. Expect a mix of personal drama and global threat — including the question of whether the past can ever truly rest.

Resident Evil Requiem PC System Requirements
Capcom has delivered once again. According to tests, Resident Evil Requiem is not only an excellent horror action-adventure but also technically very well optimized. PC Games Hardware writes in its benchmark tests: “Even with classic rasterization, the game impresses with excellent optimization and surprisingly moderate requirements — even older graphics cards achieve solid frame rates. Ray tracing noticeably modernizes the visuals without disproportionately impacting performance. The biggest highlight, however, is the newly implemented path tracing.”
