Resident Evil Requiem: Free Update adds "Leon Must Die Forever" Game Mode

Capcom has released a free update for Resident Evil Requiem featuring a new action-packed mini-game mode called “Leon Must Die Forever,” along with several bug fixes.

Anyone who thought that everything was said and done once the main campaign of Resident Evil Requiem ended was sorely mistaken. Capcom is sending Leon S. Kennedy straight into the next mess—and it’s completely free.

Leon Must Die Forever – An Overview of the New Mode

The new additional mode in Resident Evil Requiem bears the wonderfully self-deprecating name “Leon Must Die Forever” and unlocks automatically once you’ve completed the main story. In it, you fight your way through a series of stages as Leon, facing off against numerous enemies, collecting exclusive upgrade abilities along the way, and racing against the clock to reach the final boss. The gameplay has little in common with the more measured survival horror of the main campaign. Here, the action is fast-paced, the replay value is high, and the question of whether you’ll make it to the boss alive remains thrilling until the very end. Those who enjoy a bit of self-punishment can also take on an extra difficulty mode where dying is a frequent occurrence.

What Else the Update Brings

In addition to the new mode, this free update fixes various bugs that affected gameplay under certain circumstances. It also introduces full DualSense support: adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion controls are now available—a nice bonus for anyone playing Resident Evil Requiem with a PlayStation controller.
