Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy – Launch trailer for the upcoming release
Trailer after trailer. The Gamescom avalanche is in full swing! And in the midst of it all, Focus Entertainment is rolling out Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. For now, we have the launch trailer, which – like the game itself – is not to be missed.
We were given the chance not only to have a go at Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which is out tomorrow, but to play through the whole thing. I personally had no previous experience of the franchise. But I was so impressed by Resonance that I now want to catch up on the other games in the Plague Tale series. More on that later in our hands-on report once the embargo has been lifted at 5pm BST today.
From August 27th you’ll be able to play as the pirate smuggler Sophia in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and uncover the dark secrets of Minotaur Island. The brand-new launch trailer offers a final glimpse of the game ahead of its release. This action-adventure from Asobo Studio is set 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem and sends you off not as Amicia, but as the young pirate Sophia. Take on the role of the battle-hardened thief who, whilst fleeing her pursuers, reaches the Island of the Minotaur and unravels an ancient, mythical secret there.
Instead of stealth, Resonance focuses on intense close-quarters combat: Sophia parries attacks and counters with deadly finishing moves. You’ll switch between the Middle Ages and the Minoan past using a time-jump mechanic, with decisions made in antiquity influencing the present.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is due for release on August 27th 2026. Pre-order your Steam key on Gamesplanet to save 10% and receive the “The Heritage Pack” DLC as a bonus, which also includes a digital artbook for the game.
