STALKER 2 Patch 1.0.1 fixes 650 problems - Out Now!
Breathe a sigh of relief under the mask! GSC Game World has rolled out the first patch for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It fixes no less than 650 bugs and problems in various areas of the game. We have summarised the most important bug fixes for you:
AI improvements
- Fixed: NPCs got stuck or died near shelters during emissions.
- Fixed a bug where quest-related NPCs would not respond or missions would not continue.
- Improved target tracking and shooting behaviour of NPCs.
- Optimisations in NPC dense areas to improve performance.
- Corrected animations and NPCs no longer fly after death.
Optimisation & Crashes
- Fixed more than 100 causes of crashes, including memory leaks and EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors.
- Fixed: Invisible NPCs/mutants in FOV while aiming.
- Visual effects of fire are now displayed correctly from all camera angles.
Balance adjustments
- Repair costs for weapons and armour reduced.
- Artefacts bring significantly more money when sold.
- Mission rewards increased by 2-3 times.
- Damage reduction by mutants and better weapon/armour values in the ‘Rookie’ difficulty level.
- Durability of armour increased by 12.5 %.
- Added silencers for PTM weapons to specific hideouts.
- Prices for exoskeletons and upgraded weapons adjusted.
- Rebalanced consumer items such as ‘Hercules’.
Missions
Fixed numerous progress blockers, e.g:
- ‘Nightingale's Hunt’: Interaction with dead blind dogs.
- ‘Seek, and You Shall Find’ and ‘There and Back Again’: Mission objectives are now completable.
- ‘Just Like the Good Old Days’: Correction for Lodochka's aggressive behaviour.
- ‘To the Last Drop of Blood’: Power off possible in the flooded zone.
- Improvements to ‘On the Edge’, ‘Visions of Truth’ and other missions with blocked NPCs and doors.
- Fixed more than 120 issues with main and side missions.
Open World & Player Experience
- Fixed missing fast travel points (e.g. to the concrete plant for ‘Toadstool’).
- Improved enemy AI bugs in arena battles.
- Adjustments to spawn points for artefacts and NPC behaviour in various areas.
Weapons, Equipment & Player Guidance
- Fixed a bug where players could sell items for more money than they cost.
- Improved torch and HUD functionality.
- Revised weapon and armour upgrades with correct prices.
Other
- Fixed various bugs in cutscenes, animations and NPC models.
- Fixed more than 50 other bugs in the open game, world and audio quality.
