Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl – Update 1.6 turns nighttime into hunting ground
Until now, the zone became dangerous as soon as the sun went down. However, with the Night of the Hunter Showcase and the new update 1.6, the balance of power is shifting. Instead of becoming prey, players can now take the hunt to the darkness themselves.
Equipment for the darkness
The new update for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl introduces night vision devices that allow enemies and threats to remain visible even in complete darkness. A laser targeting device makes aiming easier and, in combination with offset aiming, ensures that close combat is faster and more deadly. This means that nighttime is no longer just a risk, but also a tactical weapon.
More variety in the Zone
In addition to the expanded equipment, Update 1.6 delivers a new anomaly, revamped NPC models for female characters, improved AI behavior, and a rebalanced loot system.
Together, these adjustments create a more lively and unpredictable experience.
The showcase trailer shows it all
The video clearly shows how the new features feel in the game: scenes with night vision goggles bathe the Zone in green light, while laser beams track enemies in the darkness. The new anomaly is also hinted at, and battles are shown that demonstrate the improved weapon and AI behavior in action.
