Session: Skate Sim - Foundation update with important changes released
The new “Foundation Update” for Session: Skate Sim is now live, bringing technical improvements, new animations, and gameplay tweaks. Here’s a quick overview of the key changes.
Revamped Camera & New Physics System
The focus of the Foundation Update for Session: Skate Sim is the complete overhaul of the in-game camera. The goal was to make the riding experience feel smoother, more intuitive, and easier to control—especially during reverts and transitions. It’s all supported by new physics-based animations, resulting in more fluid and natural-looking movement.
Trick System Adjustments
Several changes have been made to the trick system as well. Inputs have been fine-tuned, improving how foot placement, timing, and balance interact. These updates impact manuals, ledge tricks, and transitions—each of which now benefit from better board behavior and smoother mechanics.
The Sewers Map Returns
The popular “Sewers” map makes a comeback in this update. Previously featured in an older version of the game, this compact urban environment offers tight lines and distinctive street-style elements—adding more variety to the map roster.
The update also includes new clothing items, minor UI improvements, and a reworked replay system that simplifies saving and exporting your best clips.
