Shenmue 3: PC System requirements Revealed, requires 100 gigs of disk space
Developers of the upcoming Shenmue 3 have revealed the PC System Requirements for the game, and it's good news for lower end machines. Bad news: You will need at least 100 gigs of HDD space though.
Recently it was revealed on Kickstarter that the upcoming Shenmue 3 would support a wide range of system as the system requirements for the game were shared for the first time. Fans of the series will be pleased to know that third entry of the franchise will require a Windows 7/8/10 64bit OS, an Intel Core i5-4460 or better, 4gigs of RAM and a 2GB Graphics card such as a GTX 650 Ti or better. The only downside is that the game will require 100 gigs of HDD space, which for some may be a tad excessive. In recent years the trend for large file size has become a common problem and for those on slow internet connections it can be a pain to download - though often it's due to better textures and other features that provide the game with richer visual quality on PC.
Here's a look at the PC System Requirements that the game currently requires:
Shenmue 3 PC System Requirements
- Minimum:OS: Windows 7x64, Windows 8x64, Windows 10x64 (64-bit OS Required)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.40 GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti or better (DirectX 11 card & VRAM 2GB Required)
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband internet connection
- Storage: 100 GB available space
- Sound card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
- Additional Info: Requires Steam Client to activate.
It's also worth noting that the game is in development so these requirements may change as we near the release of the game, though it's definitely good news for those who aren't on high end systems.
Shenmue 3 recently got pushed back to a 2019 release date after 2 delays, so it's nice to see things progressing well and we may even see an early year launch if we're lucky. We're also going to see Shenmue I & II remastered on PC from SEGA, which will also be arriving soon (final date still unknown).
