Civilization 7: Cinematic trailer takes you on a journey through time
The new cinematic trailer for Civilisation 7 takes you on an epic journey through history. The focus is on a sabre that stands the test of time and passes through the hands of warriors, traders and dancers from different cultures and eras. It tells of the connection between all the people who have shaped the course of history. This idea is also reflected in the gameplay.
At the Game Awards 2024, with a live orchestra led by GRAMMY-nominated composer Christoper Tin on stage, the main musical theme of Civilization 7, ‘Live Gloriously’, was unveiled alongside the cinematic trailer. Christopher Tin explains: ‘With “Live Gloriously” I wanted to capture universal themes of hope, heroism and transience that characterise the history of mankind.’
For the first time in the series, you control not just one nation, but up to three nations simultaneously, which change with each age. From ancient times to the Age of Discovery and the modern era, you can develop new strategies and flexibly adapt your civilisation. Sid Meier's Civilisation 7 will therefore change a lot in terms of gameplay.
The waiting time is manageable: Advanced Access starts on February 6th 2025, and the full release will be celebrated just a few days later on February 11th. If you want to take advantage of the early access, you should grab the Civilization 7 Deluxe or the Civilization 7 Founders Edition - both grant pre-orders 5 days of advanced access from February 6th.
