Survival horror meets Metroidvania

Silver Pines – currently rated 85 out of 100 on Metacritic, by the way – combines survival horror with Metroidvania-style exploration in 2.5D and hand-drawn neo-noir visuals. Take on the role of private detective Red Walker, who is searching for Eddie in a half-abandoned small town. You’ll solve puzzles, open locked doors, discover hidden paths and face monsters and massive bosses. Your inventory is limited; every bullet and every item of medicine counts. Along the way, you’ll question locals, some of whom surely know more than meets the eye.

So, anyone who finds themselves lost in Silver Pines had better be able to count their ammunition. Otherwise, it won’t be long before you realise: seek and you shall find – and that means trouble.
