4X strategy from Stardock: Sins of a Solar Empire 2 launches version 1.0 on Steam
Exploration, expansion, but also exploitation and extermination - on a very large scale. Stardock today officially released Sins of a Solar Empire 2, a 4X strategy game developed by Ironclad. Here is the launch trailer.
I'm sure quite a few of you remember early Windows customising tools, such as the very flexible desktop customisation tool Windowblinds from Stardock, which was first introduced in 1998. Or ObjectDock, which makes it possible to create beautiful-looking, animated icons on the Windows interface. Both tools are still available today - and are regularly updated under the umbrella of the Object Desktop suite.
But Stardock has also been publishing games for the PC for some time now. One of them, Sins of a Solar Empire 2, is leaving Early Access and has officially come into the world today. A 4X sci-fi strategy game with huge dimensions, which are not only so huge because it is set in a vast universe. Compared to its predecessor, the graphics have been massively overhauled. It attracts real-time strategists (solo players and fans of big battles in multiplayer) with its depth of gameplay, the various technologies of different factions and those who don't just want to have laser fireworks all the time can also try extended diplomacy. PC Gamer is on hand today with a review and writes about the further development: ‘Sins 2 is a kaleidoscope of deadly lasers and colourful spaceships, enhanced by absurdly tiny details and suitably dramatic lighting.’ The result of the test is a high percentage: 87%. Quote: ‘When it comes to pure war, nobody does it better.’
We are pleased to welcome Stardock Entertainment to our website and Sins of a Solar Empire 2 is now available as a Steam key on Gamesplanet with 25% off until August 29th.
