Warhammer Classics from SNEG for Modern Systems – Now on Gamesplanet
To coincide with today’s launch of the Warhammer Skulls event, Gamesplanet is adding 10 Warhammer titles from the Classics series to its catalog — made possible by publisher SNEG, the specialist in preserving playable gaming history.

Anyone who has ever wondered what the Warhammer universe felt like before the era of highly polished 3D battlefields can now find out on Gamesplanet. Right on time for the annual Warhammer Skulls event, the Warhammer Classics series is arriving in the store — backed by a publisher that clearly knows what it’s doing.
SNEG: Veterans Preserving Gaming History
SNEG was founded in 2020 by former GOG employees — including Oleg Klapovskiy, who worked there for nearly 13 years, and Artem Shchuiko, with more than seven years of GOG experience. Fun fact: “Sneg” is the Slavic word for “snow.” This small but refined boutique label from Poland specializes in one thing: rescuing classic games from obscurity and making them compatible with modern systems. Working together with Games Workshop and several license holders, SNEG has restored and re-released ten older Warhammer titles as part of the Warhammer Classics series, complete with compatibility fixes. All 10 classics are now available on Gamesplanet as Steam keys.
Space Hulk: Ascension and Nine More Classics
One of the highlights of the collection is Space Hulk: Ascension (Classic): this turn-based 3D tactical game sends you in as Space Marines battling through the tight, Genestealer-infested corridors of massive derelict spacecraft. It features RPG elements, three playable Chapters, and a significantly expanded mission roster compared to the original board game. Players who prefer commanding armies in real time, terrorizing the seas with Skaven ships, or blasting through a classic first-person shooter as a T’au Fire Warrior will also find a fitting battlefield among the remaining nine titles in the Classics lineup.
