Starfield Preload details and release time revealed

The space role-playing game Starfield by Microsoft and Bethesda has reached gold status and preloads will soon open the up for users to begin downloading. Find out exactly when that is below and the release schedule while you wait.

It is finally known when the preload for Starfield will start on the PC. Here you will find the official and relevant information for you. Due to the different editions, it will be decided when you can start playing.

The download for Steam/PC is 125 GB. It cannot be ruled out that something will be added for the release.

Preload (you can install the open-world role-playing game in advance):

• For Xbox X|S and Gamepass users on PC, the preload will start on 17 August 2023.
• For Steam users and editions Starfield/Premium Edition purchased from us, the preload will start on 30 August 2023.

Release Schedule

• Early Access: 1 September 2023 at 1am BST
  Purchasers of the Starfield Premium Edition may start playing five days before the official release.

• Official Release: 6 September 2023 at 1am BST.
  With the Starfield Standard Edition you will have to be patient until the official release on September 6th.

Anyone who pre-orders either Edition from Gamesplanet will get the Old Mars Skin Pack. As an official retailer working directly with Bethesda keys will be delivered in time for the preload on August 30th.
