Styx: Blades of Greed – Story trailer sets the scene for Goblins, Quartz and Intrigue

With a new story trailer, Nacon provides fresh insights into the plot, setting, and gameplay freedom of the upcoming stealth adventure Styx: Blades of Greed.

Nacon and Cyanide Studio have released a story trailer for Styx: Blades of Greed, giving you a compact overview of the narrative direction of the next installment in the series featuring the stealth goblin. The video picks up on key events from the previous games, Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness, and builds a bridge to Styx's new goal: Quartz, a rare and highly dangerous resource that plunges a world on the brink of a great war into chaos.

You once again take on the role of the cunning goblin Styx, who this time is no longer acting on behalf of others. Instead, he pursues his own plans, assembles a crew, and hunts down the mysterious Quartz from his airship. The story takes you through areas inhabited by humans, orcs, and elves, while also shedding light on the origins of the Black Hand mercenary group and the beginnings of what would later become the Great War.

In terms of gameplay, Styx: Blades of Greed continues to focus heavily on stealth, but expands the familiar concept with more freedom and vertical exploration. In addition to returning abilities such as invisibility and cloning, new powers such as mind control and time manipulation have been added. Large, open-world areas, Metroidvania-like progression, equipment crafting, and numerous solutions for every situation ensure that you will find your own way through Styx's latest chaos.
