Head under the surface of Mars with Surviving Mars: Below and Beyond - Out Now
You have designed and built the most magnificent structures in Surviving Mars. But below the surface of Mars might be pretty nice too. With the new expansion, Surviving Mars: Below and Beyond, you dig like moles into the depths of the planet. Build tunnel systems for the transport of resources and create space for new bases in large caves. But please always wear a helmet, because digging in the Martian interior can provoke devastating collapses.
Under the planet's red shell, you dig for valuable resources and also erect new types of buildings, even rocket-powered structures. These help you to reach far more exotic resources. Because if asteroids fly past Mars in the future, Surviving Mars: Below and Beyond will also give you the opportunity to use excavation tools to attach to an asteroid in order to take samples and bag minerals there. Within a limited time window, of course. This is made possible by the technology tree Reconnaissance & Expansion, which unlocks additional buildings, vehicles, improvements and locations.
In addition to Below and Beyond, developer Paradox has also released a new radio pack today with the launch of the Surviving Mars: Mars Lifestyle Radio DLC, which makes the noise of building Mars more bearable with electronic and acoustic sounds. You can even shake a leg, as long as the heavy bass doesn't loosen the Martian rock above your head. 16 new songs, 4 artists and a total of almost 70 minutes of music.
