The Borderlands series is exemplary for the finest looter-shooter fare. However the narrative driven spin-off Tales from the Borderlands takes on a more episodic adventure from Telltale Games and dares to go it alone while also remaining firmly routed in the Borderlands universe. Critics already rated the game very well on Metacritic, with the adventures game (originally released in 2014) getting a Metascore of 86 points. Now all five episodes are back in one package under publisher 2K Games as Fionna, Ryhs and the rest of the Tales crew get together once more.

The plot of the episodic adventures takes place between the shooters Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3. In Tales from the Borderlands, however, it's not your trigger finger that counts, but your decisions in this story adventure. Follow the story of two protagonists who couldn't be more different. Fiona, as a con artist, is interested in selling a fake vault key, for the "really big money", while Rhys (known from Borderlands 3), as an admirer of Handsome Jack and Hyperion employee, is looking for such a key.

A deal falls through and, typical for Borderlands, everything suddenly goes completely off the rails. In Tales from the Borderlands, you determine how the rest of the story unfolds. In five episodes you'll meet well-known, quirky characters from the Borderlands universe. Moxxi and Claptrap are included, but also Zer0 and Marcus, for example.
