Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown: This additional content awaits you after release

Nacon has big plans for its open-world racing game Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. So big, in fact, that a 9-minute video is needed to explain the Year 1 roadmap.

With the release of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown on September 12 (7 days advanced access with the Gold Edition), the finish line is far from being drawn for developer KT Racing and publisher Nacon. The roadmap for the first year after release includes various content releases within three-month seasons, which Game Director Guillaume Guinet and Creative Director Alain Jarniou explain in detail in the video. Season 1, starting on September 12, 2024: The Solar Crown competition begins with races and challenges on Hong Kong Island, a faithfully recreated island where you fight for a top spot on the leaderboard. Along the way, you'll unlock a range of new vehicles. There are 60 levels, 50 clan progression levels, and a Solar Pass with 25 levels and rewards (free for the first two seasons).

Season 2, Return to Ibiza (December 2024): Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown brings Ibiza back, recreated at a 1:1 scale, focusing on the capital Eivissa and its surroundings. This season allows for clan progression with 20 stages, new rewards, and exclusive vehicles, including five Selene Editions, which are enhanced versions of existing cars. If you reach the highest level with the two (initially free) Solar Passes, you unlock an additional exclusive vehicle. Completing additional in-game activities like races, exploration, and quests will earn you more rewards in the form of items, avatar cosmetics, and more.

Season 3, Clan War Mode (March 2025): Focus on the conflict between the clans "Sharps" and "Streets." The season includes 30 new clan progression levels, live and daily events, and additional content. The conflicts take place on Hong Kong Island and Ibiza.

Season 4, Casino Fun (June 2025): The casino returns, allowing the use of virtual currency in activities like poker and slot machines. There are 50 levels to climb, exclusive cars, cosmetics for cars and avatars, and more rewards.

Additionally, further updates will optimize the game, such as improved cameras and steering wheel animations. The team plans long-term support for the game and hints at new content like real estate and motorcycles for future seasons, as they have years of experience in this area. However, development will take a lot of time, writes Nacon.
