High replay value: How the Curator's Cut changes the course of the game in Man of Medan
Don't underestimate the replay value of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. Developer Supermassive Games' upcoming story driven horror game will feature an alternative storyline, which can be started once players have finished the main game. Known as the "Curator's Cut", this extra bonus is available as an Early Access bonus for all pre-orders and will be available to all post-launch after the game has launched (release TBC).
In a video published today, publisher BANDAI NAMCO shows how the story of playing the Curator's Cut is told from different perspectives. For dialogue you have new choices, with more secrets to discover and (alternative) decisions can result in different outcomes for the story. Because in Man of Medan, the fate of many protagonists depends on decisions made by individuals. This should be especially exciting in the Coop Mode for the game as both players will have to make decisions.
At the beginning of the video, we get a look at Brad's point of view. Bandai calls the main storyline the "Theatrical Cut" and is the primary way to experience the game. Afterwards we experience the situation in Curator's Cut with the decisions of Brad's brother Alex, which will only be made available after the game has been completed at least once.
