E3 2017 - The Evil Within 2, Extended Gameplay and Story E3 Trailers
Legendary designer Shinji Mikami is once again helming the upcoming survival horror action sequel The Evil Within 2, coming this October 13th to PC, Xbox One and PS4.
At the Bethesda E3 Press Event, it was revealed that we'd be getting a few sequels - including a sequel to 2014 Horror The Evil Within. With an impressive showing at the weekend, we got to see a little glimpse at what players can expect from the game when it debuts on Friday October 13th. The story will once again see players filling the boots of police detective Sebastian Castellanos, events that happened in the first game will have left an impact on his state of mind and may question his sanity.
Instead of running from the nightmares though, he has decided to run after them and confront them face to face. 3 years have passed since the original Evil Within and now he has new questions, who is Mobious? What do they want? And what is the true purpose of STEM? All these questions and more will be answered when the Evil Within 2 launches. Players can get a little inside to the kind of story we'll be seeing with the new story trailer for the game.
The Evil within 2 is being overseen by legendary game designer Shinji Mikami, who has previously worked on such titles like Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, Vanquish and even voiced a Japanese character in Fallout 4! With such a history in the Action and Horror Genre, they should be able to create a great game that is sure to scare players with heartstopping moments.
That's not all though, we can get our first look at an extended gameplay demo that will take us to a crumbling city known as Union which was created from Lily's mind. As with the first game, players are given closed off areas that are a little claustrophobic - but this time the sequel will introduce some less linear levels that offer a chance to explore further. Expect even more survival horror (much like Resident Evil) with limited ammo, resources and plan your actions carefully as you will need to uncover the secrets of the world, and Mobious to survive.
The Evil Within 2 is launching on Friday 13th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
